Freedom of Assembly

What Is It?

The freedom to peaceably assemble is the right to protest. The government allows the citizens of this country the space and ability to protest policies or decisions they deem unfair or bad. You can not be arrested for peacefully protesting as it is a right granted by the first amendment.

Why Is It Important?

This is important because it means that the government can not punish you for speaking your mind against the government and for attempting to make an impact on the minds of others. Protests allow us to air our grievances and to show how many people have these grievances/ want a change.
