Exclusive Dress Codes: Dress codes in work places or educational institutions that prohibit the wearing of religious garments such as hijabs or kippahs. These clothing bans can also take place in larger spheres, such as local government ordinances that prohibit the wearing of any major religious regalia. This is a violation of the expression clause of the first amendment.
Religion Based Legislation: From abortion bans based on religious beliefs to mandatory days off of work, basing legislation on a persons religious beliefs is a major threat to both the establishment clause and the expression clause by attempting to establish a national religion unconstitutionally and by restricting the expression of religion.
If you feel that your school, your workplace or your local government are violating your rights or the rights of others on a religious basis, speak out! Nothing can change if you don't tell someone and ask for a change.
Let people in your surroundings know that they can safely practice their religion. Schools must make an effort to accommodate your religious needs in some ways and a public place can not ask you to remove a religious garment without violating your rights.
Be considerate of how other people practice their religion and how they utilize their rights. There is no one way to practice or not practice.
